Try shorting the 3v3 pin and the D0 pin together (it should be labeled Boot0). Then plug in the USB cable with power. You should see a constant green light noting it's in Bootloader mode. Then try to program the board.

thanks Marpy
the green light went on but what do you mean by program the board?
is it to download any project to it or something else?
Sorry but I'm new to this

yes shorting these pins, connect usb cable to cm900 and green led turns on, and then download any example, blink is good
if you succeed it, remove shorting pins, board is revived.

I'm also experiencing a similar case with jjmantel. I always fail downloading a sketch to my CM-900 Board. It says "Board not responding" or "Port is missing". But when I placed a jumper wire between D0 and 3.3V most likely I get a succesful download. (the application downloaded also run as expected on the CM-900 Board)
Is there anything wrong with my board or anything wrong with my PC (windows Xp SP3)?
Any suggestion?

Note:I use a brand new board (rev 1.01)with no sign of overheated.
